What You’ll Get to Do:

Are you looking for an internship where you will get to work under close mentor guidance with a highly professional IT team? Under direct supervision and guidance you will work closely with other interns, as well as seasoned engineers, on projects that expose them Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems / Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (ICS/SCADA) hardware and software.

More About the Role:

  • Development of Operational Technology / Industrial Control System (OT/ICS) models and simulations using open-source and commercial software and hardware.

  • Development of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) software using Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams, or Structured Text.

  • Development of OT/ICS Modeling and Simulation scenarios using a systems engineering perspective.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program

  • Pursing a degree in or related to MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Broad computer science/computer engineering background including broad knowledge of algorithm and data structure implementation.

  • Experience and interest in some of the following technology areas desired: Networking, Security, Internet of Things (IoT), and Operational Technology / Industrial Control Systems (OT/ICS).

  • Experience with open-source hardware such as Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or microcontrollers or hardware.

  • Experience with ICS/SCADA hardware and software.

  • Contractual requirement will require ability to provide proof of U.S. citizenship

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience in SQL databases strongly desired.

  • Experience with the python or JAVA scripting language desired.

  • Experience with wireless network technologies is desired, but not required.

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $34,100-$68,200. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
