What You’ll Get to Do:

You will work with a fast-paced, technically diverse team that develops and supports infrastructure for software-based signal processing applications. You will participate in full IT Systems Development Life Cycle with a focus on development, integration, and maintenance of new and existing Mission Systems. You will lead or support design and implementation of new capabilities to monitor, maintain, and support the mission such as Change/Baseline Management processes and tools, Health and Status monitoring and reporting, and contributing to the evolution of the enterprise. You will install and patch Enterprise Linux baselines, configure and manage diverse hardware, implement security hardening, troubleshoot operational issues, and create and maintain required documentation. You will interface with and support internal engineering and development teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and perform performance tuning, resource optimization, and system upgrades

  • Perform system configuration and monitoring to improve / maintain operational capabilities

  • Assist in design and implementation of expanded or novel capabilities with legacy enterprise systems

  • Consistently profile and provision servers, workstations, and appliances for multiple platforms

  • Provision and configure new system hardware components upon arrival at the factory

  • Provide IT Operations and Maintenance support for multiple scientific/engineering/DSP systems

  • Provide IT Development support for commercial and custom hardware and software

  • Perform security-oriented system configuration and monitoring to improve / maintain security posture

  • Continuously harden and evaluate servers, workstations, and appliances for compliance with multiple risk level assessments

  • Maintain and contribute documentation in the CM/Knowledge Base

  • Contribute on tasks such as inventory management, shipping and handling, on-site integration coordination, etc.

  • Responsibilities occasionally require working evenings or weekends

  • Some travel may be required

You’ll Bring These Qualifications :

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5 years of related work experience

Required Skills/Certifications:

  • Must have a TS/SCI clearance with adjudicated polygraph (Prefer FSP)

  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Linux administration and troubleshooting

  • Comfortable with at least one Linux-oriented scripting language (bash, python, perl, etc.)

  • Comfortable with modern Configuration Management and Baseline Management practices

  • Experience with network architecture/design and operation

  • Familiarity with IT security tools and standards (SSL/SSH, PKI/x509, etc.)

  • Experience managing and applying security patches to ensure compliance with dynamic requirements

  • Good communication, organizational, and time-management skills

  • Active Security+ Certification

Desired Skills/Certifications:

  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)

  • Experience with modern configuration/orchestration tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, etc)

  • Experience with common virtualization/container and cloud technologies (VMware vSphere/ESXi or oVirt/Red Hat Virtualization)

  • Experience with Kubernetes or Docker

  • Spacewalk or Foreman/Red Hat Satellite Server

  • Experience with HPE ProLiant Servers, Cisco IOS-XE or ASA gear, NetApp SAN or NAS devices

  • Compliance and Vulnerability testing and remediation with NESSUS, SCAP, or STIGs

  • Familiarity with NIST RMF and security requirements for classified environments

  • CCNA desired

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$65,000 - $136,500
