CACI seeks a talented Operations Technician to join our Advanced Solutions Group, within the National Security and Innovative Solutions Sector.

What You’ll Get to Do :

This individual is a mid-level Mission Operator in support of the mission systems at the NRO Network Operations Squadron (NOPS). The Operator will conduct and analyze mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight and must be able to convey information in a clear and articulate manner as well as clearly communicate the impacts, effects, and interconnections with other NOPS mission parameters to all levels of leadership. The Operator will be required to support mission integration and Day-of-Launch planning, as well as cradle-to-grave launch and on-orbit support activities. This Operator should have a desire to develop themselves, maturing both the program and their own professional growth, as well as mentor subordinates to enhance their professional growth. The Operator should be able to work as an essential part of a team executing aggressive DEVOPS approach willing and able to clearly communicate operational requirements to developers to sustain a developing operational baseline in a badgeless and mission-focused environment.

More About the Role

Ops Crew Leader supporting Office of Space Launch NOPS mission, operations personnel, and infrastructure. Works with the enterprise to solve mission challenges with processes and technology including hardware, software, databases, operating systems, and networks. Maintains systems operations, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility and maintenance of system security. You will conduct mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases. Develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites. Provide technical direction for on orbit mission support, plan for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommend alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support. Provide failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data. Utilize system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommend improvements. Analyze and validate software performance. Perform flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies. Requires successful completion of a certification program executed as on-the-job training. This position is 24x7 and will require rotating shifts for training and periodic vacation coverage. Identifies and analyzes program support deficiencies. Assist with defining information technology (IT) system architecture for integration of multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications across the NOPS enterprise. Document the framework for operations and implementation for changes to operational procedures and standards.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications :

  • Active TS/SCI with polygraph, will consider without a poly if willing to take one

  • 3-5 years launch or satellite operations

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant technical experience in launch or satellite operations

  • Demonstrated understanding of launch vehicle and satellite launch ascent, test, and on-orbit operational processes, practices, and procedures

  • Be a team player and work in a genuinely collaborative team environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic

  • Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail Desire to work in a fast paced, mission-focused environment

  • NRO experience

  • Willingness to mentor and lead other operational professionals

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $49,900-$99,800. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
