CACI seeks a talented Orbital Analyst (OA) to join our Advanced Solutions Group, within the National Security and Innovative Solutions Sector.
What you’ll Get To Do:
CACI is currently looking for a orbital Analyst to join our FROST (Front Range operations and Sustainment Team) Sustainment Team supporting the National reconnaissance Office (NRO) client located at Schriever AFB, Colorado Springs, Colorado! Join this passionate team of industry-leading individuals as part of the operations team supporting the men and women charged with safeguarding the American people and enhancing the Nation’s safety, security, and prosperity. NRO builds and operates a series of spacecraft at the cutting edge of technical innovation.
More About the Role:
This individual will participate in the operations of the NOPS LANCE and supporting networks enabling satellite commanding on-orbit and launch activities. FROST thrives in a culture of innovation and are constantly seeking individuals who can bring creative ideas to solve complex problems, both technical and procedural at the team and portfolio levels. As part of a hardworking team of engineers and operators, you will optimize acquisition of space vehicles for a range of launch vehicle configurations, including modeling the corresponding kinematic and dynamic characteristics, develop integrated design solutions, and support trade studies on system design and architectures. Other responsibilities include documentation and maintenance of analysis inputs, models, and reports.
Strong orbital mechanics fundamentals
Strong flight mechanics/dynamics fundamentals
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a TS/SCI and eligible/willing to take CI polygraph
5 years OA experience
Experience in launch, spacecraft and reentry systems
Experience using trajectory analysis tools such as POST, OTIS, STK Astrogator, or Copernicus
Experience with SPADOC
Strong technical troubleshooting skills
Experience with post-flight data analysis
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent technical field
Familiarity with satellite command and control systems
Demonstrated understanding of launch vehicle and satellite launch ascent, test, and on-orbit operational processes, practices, and procedures
Be a team player and work in a genuinely collaborative team environment
Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other Government agencies and mission partners
Desire to work in a fast paced, mission-focused environment
These Qualifications Would Be Nice To have:
Experience using MATLAB/Simulink
Thorough knowledge of Government launch and on-orbit commanding policy and procedures as well as interface requirements.
Experience with Agile Management tools

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is $65,300-$134,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
