CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive to the north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east is Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You’ll have access to big city excitement, a quiet beach walk or small-town Southern hospitality.

More About the Role
In this role you will:
Install, configure, maintain, and manage security devices to include but not limited to IDS/IPS, ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager, ACAS, and Virtual Private Network (VPN) equipment/configurations.
Help develop and document sensor processes and checklists.
Support operations by providing the capability to “omit” or filter sensor traffic and alerts.
Provide technical advice and assistance to resolve network issues and perform actions necessary to ensure IDS/IPS sensors collect and report network activity. Diagnose and resolve end user problems. Ensure end users adhere to proper security policies and procedures.
Build tactical and strategic network profiles of specific systems and complete network architecture.
Develop system concept of operations and engineering plans to execute security requirements for new and existing systems.
Develop reports and trend analysis documentation on bandwidth, network architecture, as well as network security incidents.
Maintain knowledge on new vulnerabilities and exploits. Develop methods to detect and prevent intrusive activities. Help develop countermeasures to isolate, contain, and prevent intrusive activities.
Conduct troubleshooting and fault isolation to ensure connectivity to the sensor equipment. Establish VPNs for protected communications.
Analyze computer network server logs (DNS, proxy, e-mail, domain controller, file server, Active Directory).
Conduct network security monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using security tools, including but not limited to, IDS/IPS, firewalls, proxy, router, ESM, Logger, Fidelis, HBSS and ArcSight logs.
Review STIG compliance for changes.
You will also be required to:
Provide on-call support after hours, on weekends and holidays.
Deploy/travel to OCONUS locations in the USCENTCOM AOR to support operations, projects, and training as required (up to 25%).
Travel to CONUS locations as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ experience; OR 5 or more years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience
Experience and demonstrate an understanding with installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, and Windows Server 2012 using server images; Experience with implementation of storage solutions, window containers, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network infrastructure, and maintain and monitor server environments.
Firewall experience
DoD 8570 CSSP-A Baseline Certification (CEH or equivalent)
Completion of additional Professional Certifications.
Network+ CE or CCNA
ITIL Foundation within 60 days from start date
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
