CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for a Network and Systems Configuration Management Specialist to support the US Air Force Central Command (AFCENT), Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.
Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive to the north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east is Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You’ll have access to big city excitement in Columbia, SC, or a quiet beach walk or small town Southern hospitality.

More About the Role
Collect, store, and manage the approved system baselines being documented through the Configuration Change Items (CCIs). Ensure complete accuracy for periodic auditing.
Establish and support the USAFCENT Configuration/ Change Advisory Board (CAB) in accordance with Joint, USCENTCOM, AF, and local Operating Instructions. Ensure Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes account towards ISO 20K accreditation.
Provide functional management of the CAB, coordinate place and time of the CAB with board president and other voting members, collect recorded meeting minutes and publish information on a secure web page.
Manage the USAFCENT A6O Project, Workflow, Requirements, and Resource Plus (PWRR+) (AF Form 3215) system for new requirements and the BMC Remedy ticket system for O&M equipment purchases and other USAF/DoD software supporting the USAFCENT mission.
Create, coordinate, and manage all Configuration Management (CM) Communications Task Orders (CTO) submissions and release to USAFCENT Forward for publishing.
Work with Change and Release Management to check all systems and network standard processes through performance evaluation for technical accuracy and viability.
Ensure CM OPR Tabs within local policies are technically accurate and up to date.
Manage the procurement, licensing, and lifecycle of all USAFCENT software to include but not limited to the Quote process, purchase, store, and make available to requestor all software utilized on the USAFCENT enterprise.
Use toolsets such as System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Solar Winds, and other asset management tools to validate actively used software and analyze versioning to ensure proper security and patching is accurate.
Compile appropriate data to support the Risk Management Framework process for each documented circuit.
Provide oral and written briefs, presentations, and professional reports to Government senior leaders and decision makers.
Assist with configuration inspections and audits.
Assist the government’s Accountable Property Officers/Equipment Control Officers with communications and IT asset management and related activities.
Develop, update, and maintain facility, network, and systems documentation.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ relevant IT experience OR 5 or more years’ relevant IT experience.
Relevant experience: ability to demonstrate understanding with installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, and Windows Server 2012 using server images; implementation of storage solutions, window containers, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network infrastructure, and maintain and monitor server environments.
DoD 8570 IAT II Baseline Certification (Security+ CE, CCNA-Sec or equivalent).
Completion of additional Professional Certifications.
A+ CE or current equivalent
ITIL Foundation within 60 days from start date.
Experience working in DoD, Air Force, and local base environments
