CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for Cybersecurity Analysis Specialists to support the USAF Network Operations Security Center (NOSC). This position works at the customer on-site Tier 3 support location at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina. Relocation assistance is available for this position.
Shaw AFB is conveniently located. A 2-hour drive to the north gets you to Charlotte, NC, to the east is Myrtle Beach, and Charleston, SC is to the south. You’ll have access to big city excitement, a quiet beach walk or small town Southern hospitality, whatever you prefer.

In this role you will:
Analyze network intrusion detection systems and conduct vulnerability assessments.
Develop methods to detect and prevent intrusive activities utilizing knowledge. Assist in developing countermeasures to isolate, contain and prevent intrusive actives and secure.
Install, configure, maintain, and manage security devices to include but not limited to IDS/IPS, and associated Virtual Private Network (VPN) equipment/configurations. Assist in development and documentation of sensor process and checklists.
Analyze network firewall and computer network server (DNS, proxy, e-mail, domain controller, file server, Active Directory) logs.
Develop methods to identify contain, log, and analyze intrusive activities and security vulnerabilities on networks.
Conduct network security monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using selected security tools to include but not limited to IDS/IPS, firewall, proxy, router, ESM, Logger, Fidelis, HBSS and ArcSight logs.
Provide technical advice and assistance to resolve network issues and perform actions necessary to ensure IDS/IPS sensors are collecting and reporting network activity. Diagnose and resolve end user problems. Ensure the end users adhere to the proper security policies and procedures.
Write and develop custom scripts as needed to perform tasks related to all Cybersecurity toolsets, such as custom parsers and responses.
You will also be required to:
Provide on-call support via cell phone after hours, on weekends and holidays.
Deploy/travel to OCONUS locations in the USCENTCOM AOR to support sustainment operations, projects, and training as required (up to 25%).
Travel to CONUS locations as required.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Associates in related field and 3 or more years’ relevant IT experience OR 5 or more years’ of relevant IT experience.
Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.
DoD 8570 CSSP-A Baseline Certification (CEH or equivalent)
Completion of additional Professional Certifications within 6 months of your start date to remain on the program. CACI will cover the cost of these certifications:
o MCSA or current equivalent
o Network+ CE or acceptable alternate
o Firewall (Linux+)
o ITIL Foundation
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Experience working in DoD, Air Force, and local base environments
