CACI International Applications Engineer in Springfield, Virginia
The position you will support the NGA customer. The contract covers a range of IT and systems support for various security domains and networks assigned to current and future facilities around the world.What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI is looking for an Applications Engineer will utilize System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Application Virtualization (APP-V) for Managed Software Services Release Operations the technician will execute software Configuration Item changes on all thick/thin client workstations across the three network enclaves. The system administrator will be responsible for deploying to Production/Enterprise Entities and to ensure the success of any software or operating system deployment to these critical segments. The Release Operations team adheres to industry standards throughout the deployment cycle of: notification, coordination, end point information gathering, actual deployment of the software, and the troubleshooting and resolution of any failed deployments.
The AE will apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system life cycle to support the addition of multi-disciplinary solutions and products.
The AE will interface with customers, application users and other technical and support personnel, converse effectively with technical and non-technical teams and leverage written and verbal communication skills to convey proposed solutions.

Develop solutions that integrate and extend the capabilities of existing products.
Collaborate with the technology development team and provide expertise to assess new technology products that are in line with current capability gaps.
Work within technology development team to design, develop and test new products
Provide input to the technology development team on the level of effort required for solutions, to include planning, test readiness levels, and project scheduling.
Provide support to management in areas of technical expertise with respect to emerging cloud technologies, standards, and medical IT industry trends.
You’ll Bring these Qualifications:
7 plus years of General IT / Software application experience
Ability to resolve a wide range of system issues, troubleshoot software, hardware, and network issues, and address trouble tickets and service tasks associated with SCCM deployments
Familiarity with Windows Active Directory and Group Policy Objects
Maintain records of daily activities, problems and remedial actions taken, and/or installation activities
Understanding of how to plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures through the SCCM console to protect data, software, and hardware
Self motivated, self-directing, and aggressively communicative
Must have excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of IT security concepts and practices is required
Strong written/verbal communications skills are required
Position requires a TS/SCI clearance is required for this position. The candidate also needs to be willing to take a CI polygraph.
