CACI is seeking an Azure Cloud Architect to join our Cloud Operations team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Azure Cloud Architect will play a key role in assessing, designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale Azure cloud solutions for different applications, and automating cloud operations and deployment.

Location: Remote; Springfield, VA is preferable (for occasional client site visits)

Shift: Core Hours MON – FRI, 8am – 5pm eastern time; some afterhours/weekend work for maintenances/escalations

About the Role:

As an Azure Cloud Architect your responsibilities include:

  • Provide subject matter expertise using best practices for designing cloud solutions and migration of existing systems to the cloud within cross-functional, agile teams.

  • Develop and implement ways to move applications and workloads to the cloud.

  • Work closely with application and system owners to understand solution requirements and identify architectural patterns.

  • Monitor compliance of cloud resources to ensure they fit industry guardrails and best practices.

  • Research and propose solutions for Azure data transformation, data connections, operational frameworks, and application integration.

  • Work closely with other architects and engineers to create and maintain architectural templates build templates, and operational templates.

  • Lead the cloud architecture design for Azure to meet clients’ technical, security, and business needs.

  • Configure cloud systems for high availability and scalability.

  • Implement and Administer Azure Cloud IaaS services/systems and facets of future planning associated with delivery of Cloud capabilities as defined by the Agency’s enterprise architecture.

  • Consult, run proofs of concepts, and advise the best use of Azure services to solve current challenges.

  • Develop and maintain software solutions/scripts to support automation of cloud configuration and administration to develop desired state configuration for the Agency’s Azure Cloud Platform.

  • Provision, manage, monitor, and decommission Azure Cloud services/systems.

  • Support security audits, accreditation, and certification processes, and obtaining authority to operate (ATO) for cloud-based system architectures.

  • Participating in a daily stand-up meetings to report accomplishments, plans for the day, and any roadblocks encountered.

  • Interact with Government and Contractor staff in meetings and working sessions on Microsoft Teams.

  • Maintain documentation of Azure environment in accordance with Agency policy.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to attain DHS EOD

  • BA/BS degree + 15 years in the industry or MA/MS + 12 years in the industry

  • 10+ years’ experience in solutioning, designing, development, and delivering computer systems

  • Proven experience as Cloud Architect with a focus on Azure

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification

  • Proven skills in leadership, relationship building, negotiation, collaboration, advocacy, governance, and consensus building

  • Scripting and automation experience

  • Thorough understanding of and experience with multiple SDLC methods such as waterfall, SCRUM, and/or Agile

  • Knowledge of IT Application architecture, Design methodologies across multiple platforms

  • Ability to communicate (verbally and written) in English, in a clear, concise manner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other cloud platforms, specifically AWS

  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)

  • Understanding of hybrid cloud architectures and multi-cloud strategies

  • Experience using ServiceNow, JIRA, and Confluence

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$119,800 - $263,600
