Job Description

Position Summary:

The IC client's Cloud environments will focus on AWS and demonstrate current Technical Cloud formation knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, test and development Cloud Infrastructures running in secure and unclassified environments.

The selected Candidate must be knowledgeable in the software development life cycle and be able design, document, and migrate applications, and be knowledgeable of the commercial Amazon Web Services arena.

The Candidate will develop efforts to support migration which include documenting baselines and migration procedures. The Candidate will also work with the PaaS and Customer to define required resources, and provide requirements and operational procedures for apps to the Cloud maintenance team.

You'll be responsible for transitioning legacy and new web metrics applications to a complete DevSecOps Cloud Infrastructure, transitioning consulting and transformation services to a dynamic scalable enterprise solution. The IC customer is looking for this position to support the definition, collection, and analysis of business metrics to understand and act upon the digital demand signal via conventional web analytics, customer discovery and data mining.

You'll also be responsible to support the system development in an agile project management lifecycle including creating the supporting Cloud engineering documentation. Responsibilities also include delivery of technical Cloud solutions, aligned with customer's business objectives.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Established understanding developing and delivering documentation on new Cloud or legacy systems.

  • Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, Web, Scripting languages, batch files.

  • Hands-on experience implementing on PaaS (AWS Cloud Foundry).

  • Hands-on experience working with an AWS based Cloud Architecture supporting secure environments with experience migrating traditional IT infrastructure to the Cloud.

  • Ability to install and test new builds of the Windows and Linux/Unix systems in virtual platforms in a Cloud environment.

  • Hands-on experience engineering, designing, and deploying server baselines for Linux and Windows platforms in a Cloud environment.

  • Hands-on experience leveraging industry standard tools such as Docker, Jira, GitHub.

  • Hands-on experience leveraging DevSecOps commercial best practices.

  • Demonstrated understanding of complex systems development and design work that may include computer architecture analysis and design.

  • Established understanding developing and conducting tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements in an AWS environment.

  • Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve system problems.

  • Ability to determine system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.

  • Experience with established USG systems

  • Understanding of the security processes and procedures followed by the IC Community NIST Standards

  • An outstanding attitude, self-initiative, and ability to work worth customers through entire implementation process

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work as part of an integrated team

  • Experience in implementing small to large scale custom development and/or systems integration projects in one or more phases of the software development lifecycle

Highly Desired:

  • Current AWS “Certified Developer – Associate” or “AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate”


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 7-10 years’ experience
