The CACI Team is seeking a highly motivated junior level Data Acquisition Specialist with Data Scientist experience where there is plenty of growth opportunities in the field to “harness the power of the cloud in an Agile world”. As a Data Specialist, you will hone your skills and contribute to the team collaborating with technical SMEs and teams to innovate or high-dimensional datasets related to financial transactions for highly visible DoD management decision-making.

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Contribute to the team and mission supporting the processing of structured and unstructured data to derive patterns and trends, in order to draw scientifically credible analytical conclusions base on quantitative analysis

  • Use your analytical skills to improve accountability in the defense industry

  • Participate in stakeholder interviews and fact finding efforts to dive further into their data rich environments for good reporting products

  • Help to assess, identify and evaluate novel algorithms, methodologies, tools and data sources with application of DoD/Government analytics.

  • Understanding of BI platforms and reporting tools like QlikSense or Tableau

  • Supports the team and client with descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.

  • Provides data analytics, data visualization, and AI capabilities that will improve financial reporting for DoD

  • Assists in the identification of new opportunities to build state-of-the-art data analytics and immutable architectures with other data analysts and engineers

  • Engage with customers onsite, from CACI offices, and remotely when necessary.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 3+ years’ experience in financial reporting, auditing, internal controls, or data analytics

  • 1+ years’ experience with development, maintenance, and enhancement of data mappings, workflows, and process

  • Experience working with DoD financial Systems such as GFEBS, STARS, SABR, or Navy-ERP

  • Experience acquiring, ingesting, and normalizing data, including organizing databases

  • Experience writing data business rules in SQL and building data reconciliations

  • Ability to manipulate data from multiple structured and unstructured data sources

  • Knowledge of, or ability to learn and adapt to, the Agile/SCRUM methodology

  • Ability to obtain a Secret (or higher) clearance.

  • BA or BS degree

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with data analytics, big data, and cloud-native technologies, including Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, Cloudera, NoSQL, or Spark

  • Experience with data operations pipeline, machine learning techniques, and working with or creating data architectures

  • Experience with modern relation databases, including MySQL or PostgresSQL

  • Experience providing recommendations using dashboards, visualizations, or reporting BI platforms including QlikSense or Tableau

  • Experience with excellent communication skills both orally and written for briefing management and clients

  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments

  • MA or MS degree a big plus

  • Any education or certification towards AWS Certification family and/or Security What We Can Offer You:
