The Product Manager (PdM) is responsible for defining products and solutions to ensure product and solution success at each stage of development, from the initial idea phase through product launch. Working with process owners to understand the Epics, Feature, Vision, and Roadmap, and defines User Stories to support solution validation. The Product Manager has significant relationships and responsibilities outside the immediate team, including working with the customer, and with their stakeholders and customers to confirm the solution effectively addresses program priorities while maintaining technical integrity.

In addition to the above, a qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

  • The PdM validates that Stories meet users’ needs and comply with the “Definition of Done”

  • The PdM is heavily involved in program backlog refinement and preparations during Program Increment Planning (PIP), during which the PdM provides clarifications necessary to assist the team with their story estimates and sequencing

  • The PdM engages in the daily execution of the teams’ and Scrum Masters tasks, using intimate knowledge of the systems and processes

  • The PdM focuses on communicating priorities and tradeoffs to both the customer and the development team, and for supporting development across the product life cycle

  • PdM’s work with the customer and end users to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) which measure product success and value

  • PdM’s work with the team to establish metrics that will help evaluate progress, to assess performance baselines, metrics for decision-making on the product backlog and roadmap, and for ensuring user satisfaction

Security Clearance Requirement:

Active/current Top Secret minimum with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain/maintain a Polygraph is required.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related technical or scientific discipline

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of PdM or Product Owner (PO) experience, defining products and solutions each stage of development, supporting development across the product life cycle

  • Must have strong analytical skills, as well as the ability to “multi-task”

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience using leading Scrum/Agile tools such as JIRA, and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or Project Management Institute (PMI) Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or SAFe certifications

  • Agile Certified Product Manager

  • Hands-on experience in developing, implementing, and leading software programs and utilizing dev/sec/ops pipelines, or equivalent experience

  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced, constantly changing environment

  • Ability to interact and work in a teaming environment

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,700 - $165,300
