Job Description

CACI is seeking an IT SME Technician that has knowledge of and experience with the operation and maintenance of Information Technology (IT). This is a help desk lab support position staffed by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide assistance to teams in the field with loading of images and option files, resetting passwords, making network connections for LAN and VLAN, recovering tomb stoned servers, troubleshooting of equipment, and repair of laptops, switches, servers, routers, breadcrumbs, VoIP phones, AV devices, wireless LAN equipment and other subcomponents of the IT systems at St.Inigoes, MD.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Performs recurring work independently; work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions.

  • Conduct various tests or experiments which may require minor modifications in test setups or procedures as well as subjective judgments in measurement.

  • Select, set up, and operate standard test equipment to troubleshoot system issues to board level;

  • Measure and record problems o. significant complexity that sometimes require resolution at a higher level.

  • Analyzes data and prepares test reports.

More About the Role:

  • Occasional travel to team sites may be required to perform repairs and/or training.

  • While this position has regular hours, there is a requirement for the SME to be on call after hours and on weekends as needed.

  • There is a rotating duty phone assignment for after-hour calls. SMEs may be assigned to assist the engineering staff on system upgrades, testing, and/or design parameters.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance.

  • Associate's degree in a technical discipline field and Two years of progressive experience in C4ISR electronic systems technologies, analysis, design, research, development, test and evaluation, or logistics support or High School diploma and Four years of progressive experience in C4ISR electronic systems technologies, analysis, design, research, development, test and evaluation, or logistics support.

  • COMPTIA Security + IA Certification.

  • MCITP Server Administrator 2008 certification.

  • MCTS Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 configuration.

  • Vmware (Vsphere) Install configuration.

  • Progress toward CCNA.
