BIT Systems, part of CACI’s National & Cyber Solutions business group, has immediate career opportunities for all levels of Communications Engineers (Digital Signals Processing, DSP, Electrical Engineering) in Sterling, VA.
Our Communications Engineers work collaboratively with peers to solve complex problems for the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community. Communications Engineers also identify and participate in company funded independent research and development (IRaD) projects. What you’ll get to do:
Our Communication Engineers design and develop software and algorithms, and debug and test signal processing systems running on a variety of platforms. They work with our product development team to develop concepts, identify creative solutions to customer requirements and assess feasibility of these solutions. Engineers provide support to the design, build, and delivery of QRC signal processing systems. They participate in Receiver architectures, Software channelization, Modulation/demodulation, and Spectral analysis activities.
Some of the areas you will get to leverage your existing experience, and fulfill your thirst for knowledge include:
Digital Signals Processing and/or Software Development
Programming in: C, C++, Python, or Java.
Radio Frequency (RF) systems and test equipment (such as: spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, or signal generator) in support of projects and/or Senior Technical staff activities
Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems including receiver architectures, software channelization, modulation/demodulation techniques, spectral analysis, error correcting codes
X-Midas, MATLAB, and/or GNU Radio
Multiple phases of product development life cycle (IE: concept, design, implementation, test, production, delivery, training, and remote support)
Manipulate server, workstation, test equipment, etc. weighing up to 65 lbs.
Possible occasional travel (1-2 weeks) to assist in conducting hands-on equipment testing and field evaluation
You will bring:
A Bachelors or Masters degree in EE, CE, or an equivalent combination of educational background and directly related experience.
Experience with Digital Signals Processing and/or Software Development
Experience programming skills in at least one of the following: C, C++, Python, or Java
Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems and test equipment (such as: spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, or signal generator) in support of projects and/or Senior Technical staff activities
Experience with Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems including receiver architectures, software channelization, modulation/demodulation techniques, spectral analysis, error correcting codes
Ability to meet the normal demands associated with an office environment - work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email, and face to face
Ability and physical capability to manipulate server, workstation, test equipment, etc. weighing up to 65 lbs.
Ability to accommodate possible occasional travel (1-2 weeks) to assist in conducting hands-on equipment testing and field evaluation
Eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance, and sit for a CI Polygraph (if customer requires). (We are able to sponsor you for and/or upgrade your existing security clearance.)
Desired experience with X-Midas, MATLAB, and/or GNU Radio
Desired experience with all or multiple phases of product development life cycle (IE: concept, design, implementation, test, production, delivery, training, and remote support)
