What You’ll Get to Do:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will function as part of a team of engineers responsible to design, develop, assess, test and implement solutions, initiatives and deployments for CACI's classified distributed enterprise network environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain our enterprise network environment to include: Fortinet Firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls Cisco networking hardware, switches (Multi-Layer, Data Center/ Access/Core/ Distribution) firewalls, routers, WLAN, network engineering support, network management systems using Solarwinds.
Establishes networking environment by designing enterprise networks and baseline configurations.
Direct network installations and projects by defining, documenting, and enforcing Network and Security standards.
Provides specific, detailed Network Designs and equipment selection, implementation plan, techniques, and tools for the most efficient solutions to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements
Design, configure and installs various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN).
Conducts testing of network systems.
Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance
Troubleshooting network problems and outages
Scheduling upgrades
Collaborating with network architects on network optimization.
Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, assess network performance, and trace data and protocol activity.
Responsible for customer-related technology support
Required Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and at least 7 years of related experience.
Must have experience working on large complex enterprise networks.
Must have experience maintaining enterprise network environments such as: Fortinet Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Firepower, Cisco networking hardware, switches and routers.
Must have experience conducting network engineering support and network management systems using Solarwinds.
Must have a current TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
Network engineering work experience in large Enterprise environments.
Cisco CCNP certification with a desired emphasis on routing, switching. Previous experience working on physical and logical networks for network infrastructure installation or deployment projects
