CACI is currently looking for an experienced Configuration Manager to join our team developing next generation signals intelligence (SIGINT) and electronic warfare systems for the Department of Defense. What You’ll Get to Do As a CM professional you will be responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems. The Configuration Manager will work on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (development, test, production, etc.) supporting developmental and operational systems.The successful candidate will be responsible for Configuration Management (CM), change control, configuration identification, status accounting, and configuration audits for a large-scale government program. The candidate will prepare and execute program configuration and management plans. This position will assume a team role in analyzing, negotiating, and implementing contract and CM policy, standards, and requirements on all contract and delivery orders during all program phases. More About the Role As the Configuration Manager, you will work with architects, developers, engineers, and operations personnel to help perform upgrades and troubleshooting. You will use Jira to measure the performance of DevOps by creating dashboards, reports, and tracking of earned value KPIs to ensure the team is on track to meet a challenging system development timeline. You will support the team’s continuous integration and continuous delivery practices, working with the project manager and development lead to ensure sprints are complete and delivered on time. This position is located in Sterling, Virginia. Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop or modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system.
Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end-of-life. Perform change control and configuration audits.
Assist in defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process
Reviews all software and hardware change requests submitted for approval to ensure completeness and compliance to company specific guidelines and industry best practices.
Reacts to periodic audits on conformance to CM practices for all Configuration items, document findings and develop and deploy necessary correction actions.
Ensures compliance to the ECP, and Deviation processes in an electronic environment.
Assists in the maintenance and development of CM policy and procedures to ensure that all projects maintain the integrity of complex software, hardware and documentation throughout the project life-cycle.
Proactively addresses configuration management related issues and concerns across the program.
Ensures that existing change management and change control processes are strictly enforced throughout the development life-cycle. You’ll Bring These Qualifications
US Citizenship is required along with active TS/SCI security clearance
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years of experience performing in a CM role
Motivated self-starter with the ability to look for ways to improve processes/procedures
Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), MS Project, SharePoint, MS Teams
Ability to grasp technical concepts
Exemplary customer service skills
Strong organization skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally with all levels of staff and outside personnel These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
Knowledge of Confluence/Jira
Experience executing software builds with Visual Studio 2013, 2019
Familiarity with Arena Project Life-cycle Management (PLM) tool
Strong familiarity with MS Office tool suite
Experience in configuration management in an agile development environment.
