This opportunity offers very rewarding and unique benefits, which equates to 50% of compensation on TOP of your base salary! The first part is a tax-qualified profit-sharing retirement plan, to which CACI annually contributes up to 25% of your base salary (not in excess of applicable IRS limits) to your retirement account. CACI is seeking a proactive, professional System Engineer to work in Sterling, Virginia. You will be responsible for program property management, submitting purchase orders and tracking budgets for materials, data center property management, packing and shipping gear for delivery to CONUS and OCONUS sites, writing system engineering documentation, tracking project delivery schedules, performing factory acceptance testing of new hardware and software while learning the mission and growing into a key system engineering role. You will be part of a mission that makes a difference to the nation, working alongside a fun, smart, and motivated engineering team that fields systems to the DoD.
What You’ll Get to Do:
You will get to perform system engineering duties and work with a team of software developers, DevSecOps staff, other system engineers, and RF engineers to design, integrate, test, and deliver collection systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide task support for members of a multi-disciplinary engineering team from product concept, development, testing, to delivery
Report results and advise management of these efforts
Document configuration, test procedure, results, and training materials
Perform traditional System Engineering tasks (requirement creation/management, create and maintain technical documentation, lead technical discussions, etc.)
Serve as a systems engineer with expertise in briefing and responding to customer requests and requirements; create and help present customer briefings using PowerPoint
Configure network, software, and hardware components to meet DoD requirements
Integrate and install systems at customer sites
Provide training on daily use, management, and troubleshooting of delivered systems
Handle property management (asset tagging and tracking, AssetSmart entries, documentation updates with property details, budgets, disposition of materials when a contract ends)
Manage program property in data center (keep area tidy, maintain power drops as required by program's gear, clear out unused gear, label gear)
Perform a variety of duties (label cables, create rack elevation and wiring diagrams, generate hardware lists, pack up gear and ship it, run cables and fibers at delivery sites)
Order materials for the program, track their status, receive materials, and manage budget for materials on contract
Help prepare for and conduct FAT/BETA 1/BETA 2 customer events
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
An active DoD TS/SCI clearance
Prior experience in Systems Engineering Life Cycle Management from developing hardware and software requirements, design, integration, testing, validation and quality assurance process
Experience in system testing and analysis
Excellent technical writing and oral skills to generate documentation, to include concepts of operation, software release notes, user and administrator guides, test plans/procedures, power/weight/cooling/networking documentation, and customer presentations
Ability to assist the development team with software integration activities
Experience supporting complex systems
Ability to present technical information to numerous stakeholders
Able to travel up to 25% to provide on-site integration, testing, and training for customers
Experience with Visio and MS Office

Experience with SDR (software-defined radios) and spectrum analyzers
Experience with software development process, RF antenna systems, RF software and hardware, and RF transceivers
Data collection testing and analysis experience

Basic Linux experience
