You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Under general supervision, analyzes, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, performs problem isolation and resolution of data networks. Monitors, tunes, sets standards and maintain a range of computer network components and systems. Performs these functions across most of the network facilities including physical media, protocol stacks, routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, security devices, DNS servers, email gateways, telecommunications transport facilities along with related software and hardware, and network management systems and components.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Requires a Secret clearance.
Working knowledge of routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, access-control lists, routing protocols.
Security+ Certification or approved 8570.01-m certification.
Technical Certifications such as JNCIA, CCNA and CCNP preferred.
Experience with the design and implementation of IP networks.
Planning, designing, developing, and implementing IP networks.
Installing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing network hardware, software, and communication links.
Ensuring the stability and integrity of network services.
Analyzing and resolving network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end- user training where required.
Document network problems and resolution for future reference.
Monitor system performance and implements performance tuning.
Knowledge of network monitoring tools such as CA Spectrum is a plus.
Support and coordinate with the security Point of Contact (POC) on all DOD and DISA requirements.
Provide documentation for and provide support with maintenance of policies and procedures outlined in the applicable Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and other relevant documents.
Ability to work within a team environment with a solid work ethic.
Education and Experience:
- Typically requires bachelor's degree or equivalent, and five years of related experience.
