CACI is seeking am Ordnance Managers (OM) to provide all-encompassing ordnance-related support, during all facets of training, for identified Naval Special Warfare (NSW) training divisions.
What You'll Get to Do:
Duties and responsibilities include the ability to learn, gain proficiency, attain requisite qualifications or certifications (if not currently maintained), and perform the following:
Travel away from the command is estimated to be about 30% of annual work-year.
Hazardous materials, ammunition and explosive ordnance, up to, and including 15-ton truck driver.
Provide extensive and specialized ordnance-related customer service, in support of operations.
Identify divisional requirements and recommend quantities and types of ordnance to be ordered by Government personnel.
Track ordnance requisitions from divisions and verify the amount of ordnance is within with Non-Combat Expenditure Allowance (NCEA).
Draft ordnance orders, for customer approval, for all evolutions, and insure that ordnance transportation requirements are coordinated
Arrange authorization to establish field ASPs at other branch service ranges, and track all ordnance transactions
Track ordnance requisitions through all phases of ordering, transportation, delivery, utilization and return of surplus to NSW inventories.
Facilitate short notice delivery of ordnance items, when required.
Coordinate and manage daily ordnance use in compliance with Navy and NSW policy and regulations.
Insure training expenditures are reported to the Ordnance Inventory System administrator, using existing protocols.
Facilitate and/or insure all unexpended ordnance material is returned to an authorized ordnance storage facility following completion of training evolutions.
Utilize the SWALIS database to schedule monthly weapons and night vision inventories, collect inventories, and forward findings to Armory personnel.
Schedule and de-conflict annual weapon assessments
Track status of current ammunition training allowance and provide projection to address shortfalls requiring augment requests for future training.
Coordinate with Weapons Department to ensure changes to and current requirements for transportation and security of all ordnance and weapon systems are updated, followed, and adhere to by personnel.
Assist with weapon and ordnance testing and evaluation, as required.
Upon contract award, Government shall provide and track QUAL/CERT to contractor employees performing Ammunition and Explosive (AE) task.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
OM positions require a prior military or civilian background as a qualified and certified military Ammunitions Accountability and Explosive (AA&E) ordnance handler.
Ordnance Manager shall be qualified as or able to qualify as (physically, medically and mentally) a demolition and 15-ton truck driver.
Ammo-49 (online course), Ammo-51 (truck inspection). Course is offered bi-annually via Logsu, Commercial driver license with hazmat endorsement and CDL medical certification.
Ammo-62 (Hazmat Certifier, HQ and Assault Ordnance Managers only, two week courses)
Commercial driver license with hazmat endorsement and CDL medical certification.
