CACI International Senior Engineering Technician - APY – Amphibious Planning Yard in Virginia Beach, Virginia
CACI is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician with experience in engineering, maintenance, logistical support, and sustainment coupled with supervisory experience managing engineering tasks. You will be part of a team of talented technical writers as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E), Damage Control Systems, Electrical System, and Combat Systems equipment onboard US Navy Ships.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Resolve fleet feedbacks regarding obsolescence
Develop, change and resolve Planned Maintenance System (PMS) technical feedback reports
Develop, change and resolve Tech Manual Deficiency Evaluation Reports (TMDIR)
More About the Role:
Work with other development team members to acquire an in-depth understanding and conduct comprehensive research of the product.
Apply Subject Matter Expertise for hull, mechanical, electrical (HME) and damage control systems onboard US Navy Ships to produce a high-quality document that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
Conduct ship checks and site visits to identify, document changes and configuration of applicable systems / equipment and interface with ships' engineering watch standers, principle assistants, Engineering Officers, and Deck personnel onboard U.S. Navy surface ships.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
High school, trade or industrial school, or correspondence school, with courses in algebra, plane geometry, trigonometry, and mechanical drawing/AutoCAD.
A minimum of 15-years of experience; including the preparation of and modification of engineering drawing, engineering investigations, engineering reports, test agenda, system diagrams for Navy Ships.
Experience must include ship checks, and the design and working plan development for construction, conversion, modernization, and/or alteration of for Amphibious Planning Yard (APY) and other Naval platforms.
RCM Level I and II certifications a plus
