What You’ll Get to Do:
As a Senior Logistics Analyst, you'll be responsible for organizing and implementing a variety of responsibilities related to the flow of materials, products, services and associated systems information. Manages the performance of logistics functions including system fault analysis, life cycle maintenance and integrated product support (IPS) of major systems. Duties may include managing the control of the flow of goods, services and information between the point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements as well as ensuring the execution and improvement of standard logistic processes.
CACI is currently looking for a Senior Logistics Analyst in anticipation of a contract award supporting the US Navy Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. The program provides life cycle maintenance, logistics support, and modernization of foreign military weapon systems and hull, mechanical, and electrical equipment. An important mission of the US Navy is to “Build Partner Capacity” among allies around the globe. In doing so, the US Navy and the US Coast Guard transfer many new and retired maritime vessels to partner nations. This requires significant assistance from private industry in both the transfer process and in the lifecycle sustainment support of those vessels once they arrive in country.
If successful with the contract award, CACI intends to hire a wide spectrum of ship repair & modernization professionals, as well as shipboard operators & trainers. The Program Office will be based out of the DC metro area, but there will also be a need for professionals to work in Norfolk, VA. Some positions will have flexibility to work remotely. There will also be requirements for long term OCONUS work in Egypt and Iraq as well as short term assignments around the globe.
More About the Role:
The primary role of a Senior Logistics Analyst is to provide all aspects of logistics execution for the modernization and maintenance of former USN, USCG and foreign naval vessels.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
You have six (6) years of experience in logistics planning and execution activities supporting a naval surface or undersea program/project office (i.e., NAVSEA, NSWC, planning yards, etc.) to include experience in maintenance planning, supply support, packing/handling/transportation, and training.
Additional experience is required in 4 or more of the following ILS areas: support and test equipment, technical documentation, computer resources, facilities, manpower and personnel. Maintenance planning is preferred as one of the four elements.
You'll provide operations and maintenance support of Shipboard ILS systems (such as SNAP, MICROSNAP, CLIP, SHIPCLIP or equivalents) during CONUS industrial availability period.
You may be requested to tailor existing ILS systems to the needs of specific foreign customers and upgrade existing ILS systems.
Perform research necessary to identify the most current National Stock Number (NSN) or Part Number (P/N) for the required material and best-value sources of procurement.
You will also generate Military Standard Requisitioning and Information Procedure (MILSTRIP) requisitions for identified material requirements. For items not available in the Government Supply System, the contractor shall recommend sources, provide technical information, and when approved, make purchases.
Conduct research and provide logistics support required to procure material in support of ship alterations, equipment upgrades, industrial maintenance, and repairs for ships transferred via the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.
Procure, receive and complete all receipt documentation required for ship’s outfitting and materials to support Consolidated Shipboard Allowance Listing (COSAL), Coordinated Shore Material Allowance List (COSMAL), Authorized Medical Allowance List (AMAL), General Use Consumable List (GUCL), etc.
You'll provide real-time tracking and status of requisitions throughout the availability.
Procure materials as specified in individual orders. Types of material requirements may include: a variety of hardware and software, incidental installation material, shipboard and shore based ship support spare and repair parts, installed shipboard and port force protection equipment, alteration installation support material, Operating Space Items (OSI), tools and maintenance equipage, training aids/equipage/simulators, shipboard personnel support equipment and items, system and equipment upgrade components material and support items, special purpose and general purpose test equipment and accessories, as well as consumables to support operations and maintenance.
These Qualifications would be Nice to Have:
Foreign Military Sales experience is highly desirable. If applicable the contractor shall perform outfitting and availability support such as the procurement of husbandry items that the foreign crew requires during an availability.
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
