Job Description

CACI is seeking a Tactical Shooting Instructor (TSI) to support administrative and instructional tasks that are assigned to the Assaults Division of NSW Training Detachment

What You'll Get To Do:

  • Teach current NSW Combat Shooting curriculum/TTPs as augments to the active-duty training cadre, including classroom and field practical exercises

  • Assist by providing logistical support to cadre and trainees during planning, classroom instruction, practical field training, final training exercises, troop movements, and perform as opposing forces (OP4), as necessary

  • Prepare ranges prior to training evolutions and assist in operation of the remote target systems according to RSO and COR specifications

  • Assist in proctoring the NSW Operator Standards Test

  • Provide specific instruction on the following categories: NSW weapon systems manipulation, functionality, and marksmanship. Close Combat Marksmanship w/NSW-specific primary and secondary weapon systems, SOPMOD Optics, Illuminating and Aiming Devices. Timed Static, Dynamic and Reactionary target engagement. Weapons Flow, Immediate Reaction, Transition and Malfunction Remediation.

  • Provide specific instruction on the following categories: Shooting on the move and use of barricades, concealment and cover. Multiple threat engagements, to include priority of threat and shoot-no-shoot scenarios. Low-light to No-light target engagement.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • An active Secret or higher security clearance

  • Candidate should possess the following minimum qualifications and potentially possess preferred qualifications for Tactical Shooting instructors: At a minimum, certification from Federal Law Enforcement Agency or SOF Unit Tactical Shooting COI

  • Preferred to have an understanding and knowledge of the TTP 3-05 series Tactical Shooting instruction of the Naval Special Warfare Publication

  • The instruction requires maintaining annual certification of Tactical Shooting abilities
