What You’ll Get to Do

Provide support to the In-Service Aircraft Carriers Program Office as a Contracts Specialist by helping them put work to maintain, repair, and refurbish in-service Aircraft Carriers under contract and manage those contracts.

More About the Role

Primary responsibilities include ensuring that appropriation laws, policies and directives are followed. Assist CORs in the development of contract documentation to include J&As, Acquisition Plans, Statement of Work (SOW), Determination and Findings (D&F) and Task Instructions. Track upcoming procurement action milestones. Create metrics for PMS 312 contracts tracking upcoming contract milestones, small business utilization, risks, etc. Assist the COR in reviewing and analyzing Subcontractor monthly funding and status reports. Assist the TPOC in reviewing documentations submitted as deliverables, prepare documents for routing through various stakeholders prior to TPOC obtaining final approval signatures from leadership. Assist in the preparation of briefings, presentations, correspondence, and other documents as required. Assist the TPOC and APM in the identification of program needs that are not currently in the budget and assist in the development of POM issue papers for submission. Provide assistance as needed for fiscal year budgeting preparation, POM issue papers, contract funding requirements and preparing TPS sheets

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience with federal contracting experience, extensive knowledge of the FAR, DFARs, and NMCARs.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Navy and Aircraft Carrier experience is a plus
