CACI International Budget and Financial Control Analyst in Washington, District Of Columbia
What You’ll Get to Do:
We are seeking a high caliber Budget and Financial Control Analyst to support DHS senior leaders in tracking, forecasting and managing IT budgets and spend plans. This candidate will develop budget tracking tools to enable transparency and visibility to establish initial budget baselines, track overall burns and create forecasts to identify upcoming shortfalls.
More About the Role:
Responsible for providing support to senior leadership in the preparation and analysis of complex program/project financial data and other complex contract, project or business related tasks.
Monitors progress of program cost performance against plans to ensure contractual cost obligations are met.
Prepares complex financial/administrative reports and distributes to customer/user organizations.
Provides weekly and monthly transactional and pricing support to programs.
Conducts complex financial analysis (variance analysis, risk analysis, profit/loss analysis etc.).
Performs non-routine analysis and prepares non-routine financial reports.
Liaison between operations and other administrative support organizations on financial issues.
Interfaces with customers on financial issues and performs extensive investigations as required.
Maintains contract budgets, prepares material estimates and delivery schedules.
Review the work of others and be able to detect/report errors or needed modifications.
Work in a team environment; Quality Team Member.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Ability to obtain/maintain EOD Suitability Clearance
BA/BS or equivalent and minimum of 5 years of applicable experience
A minimum of 3 years experience creating budgets and managing spend plans
Experienced in financial data analysis
Strong communications skills and ability to work collaboratively with Senior Leaders
Proficient with MS Office tools with advanced MS Excel skills
Initiative – proactively establishing relationships, setting up workshops, finding opportunities to innovate and improve value, as well as providing new ideas for improvement
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with government cost accounting and purchase request systems
