What You’ll Get to Do:
Provides Combat Systems Engineering for INDEPENDENCE Variant Littoral Combat Ships to PEO IWS 80.
More About the Role:
Provides analytic and engineering services to include writing technical acquisition documentation, independent assessment of sensor and weapon performance, test planning/evaluation, CONOPS development and evaluation, system and architecture trade studies and end-to-end effectiveness assessments.
Provides Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) analysis to include open architecture model development and assist in the development of program information and documentation to identify technical parameters and thresholds.
Analyzes system functionality and requirements development.
Validates requirements traceability for operational requirements, performance requirements, Measures of Performance (MOPs) and Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs).
Performs risk analyses and assessments of proposed alternatives.
Conducts independent system engineering analyses to identify and recommend resolutions to emergent issues.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in combat systems engineering, marine engineering, naval architecture, mechanical, computer or electrical engineering.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Scientific Discipline or an additional 3 years of experience in Engineering without a degree.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
US Citizenship.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Interest in National Security and a desire to grow professionally and learn new skills.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Experience with the Department of Defense, shipyards, US Navy, NAVSEA support preferred.
