We are looking for great data architects with data visualization tools who love to spend their days unlocking secrets held by data sets and exploring new possibilities presented by the IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence advances.

This Data Architect uses the power of their technical skills to assist and improve the defense industry in numerous ways, working closely with customers to understand their questions and needs and dig into their data-rich environment to discover the missing pieces in the information puzzle, assisting them in the overall structure and architecture of their data. Applying specific architecture and general knowledge, our data team answers to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity for the customer building predictive analytics, maximizing automation, applying machine learning and combining tools and frameworks to turn disparate data points into objective answers that help military leaders make informed decisions. At the mid-level, this role works independently with some guidance and may review or guide activities of more junior employees, under the direction of more senior engineers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with data architecture and data tools

  • Understanding of Meta-Tagging

  • Knowledge of the rules for Classification

  • Experience with a variety of tools in technical and data architecture

  • Experience with briefing senior leadership

  • Experience with building robust analytical models, including forecasts, cost models, and historical trend analyses

  • Ability to navigate a complex matrix environment and manage competing priorities

  • Active TS/SCI clearance

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with data tools such as Qlik, Tableu, PowerBI, etc.

  • Experience in using DoD Data Management to manipulate and integrate databases with SQL, SAS, or other languages

  • Knowledge of Big Data systems, including Hadoop, HDFS, Hive, or Cloudera

  • Experience with IMMUTA’s data access platform is a plus

  • Able to discern stakeholder needs, effectively communicate development plans, and track progress milestones

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent critical thinking skills to assess numbers, trends, and data to reach new conclusions based on findings

  • Excellent quantitative skills, including statistical analysis, process design, and data management

  • Active IAT Certification, including Security+ or higher

Worksite Location:

  • This position is hybrid requiring upfront client site/prime site visits to Mark Center/Pentagon areas to work with the customer in SCIF locations but can move over to more to remote delivery where applicable anywhere within the DC/MD/VA area locations (for customer visits).


  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and will need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information . TS/SCI clearance is required .
