What You’ll Get to Do:
Works onsite with the client to support administrative functions of their office, including but not limited to facilitating the invoice review and payment process, e.g.,
organizing and routing incoming invoices for review by client POCs
tracking approvals of invoices
submitting approved invoices for payment using DOJ’s financial management system, UFMS
responding to questions regarding invoice payment status
scanning, printing and organizing invoice files
running reports from UFMS regarding invoice status and other activities
updating other tracking systems as needed
communicating with various stakeholders including vendors, the Office of the Comptroller, other agency POCs, and DOJ management
assisting with other administrative tasks as needed
Additional tasks may include a range of litigation support, e.g.,
filing, retrieving, and copying case file materials
creating witness binders
preparing deposition and trial exhibits
entering data on-line to case files and other databases
proofreading, editing, correcting OCR'd text files
retrieving and blowing back documents and digital image media
tabbing, numbering, labeling, assembling documents
filling out log sheets and reporting on task progress
performing quality control on the work of peers in all of these areas
preparing documents for image scanning
performing other document collection related activities, including document screening, and labeling of files to be scanned
performing simple database searches.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure extremely important.
Accuracy when working with numbers, spreadsheets and data entry.
Must be able to read and follow instructions.
Must be able to understand task, task objectives, and the context of the task in the litigation support effort as a whole.
Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete task correctly (e.g. where instructions are not explicit or appear to be contrary to the task objective).
Must have typing/keyboarding skills and good communication skills.
Must have a professional, customer-oriented attitude.
Must be knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with financial databases
Strong capabilities with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
Litigation support experience
