Job Description

CACI is seeking a Staff Action Officer in the NLCC Directorate. In this role requires Technical experience/familiarity with undersea communication cables, fiber optics.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Be an agent of change! Support national security at the highest level through technical and operational expertise, advising senior DOD decision makers.

  • Work a variety of critical information-sharing initiatives that support the warfighter.

  • Be able to do normal OSD-level staff interaction; coordinate with stakeholder agencies, review/assess technical plans and concepts; draft policy documents; participate in resource allocation discussions.

  • Provide expertise and knowledge to support customer and mission success.

  • Break bureaucratic logjams; solve problems, find solutions and compromises that meet mission needs.

Required Skills:

  • Must be Active TS with SCI eligibility.

  • Technical experience/familiarity with undersea communication cables, fiber optics, or other means of transoceanic communication.

  • Must be able to conduct staff work in Pentagon,

Desired Skills :

  • Good working knowledge of DOD command and control, communications systems and operations.

  • Understand how to work interagency issues and develop professional relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Previous work in large DOD staff; Pentagon, service HQ, MAJCOM, COCOM.

  • Familiar with MIL-STD-1678-5B.
