What You’ll Get to Do:
Be responsible for program financials including budgeting, forecasting, invoice submissions, funding deliverables, and analysis of financial data for a large federal litigation support contract.
Have frequent contact with the case team, government managers, trial attorneys, and sometimes client agency staff,
Plan and manage all support for management of case financials, including monitoring workflow, progress reporting, budget development and tracking, coordinating technical/data processing support, responding to many ad hoc requests for information about financials from customers, and obtaining other required resources
More About the Role:
Working on-site in CACI DC office when work from home approvals are suspended.
The Financial Analyst is the primary point of contact for addressing client requests and delivering work product relating to financials of the program.
Providing recommendations and on-site technical support for delivery of financial information.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
A CPA certification and graduate degree in related field, such as finance, business administration, accounting, banking and credit, etc.
Minimum of two years’ experience performing financial analysis and evaluation work.
Must have expert proficiency with Excel and working with financial data including budget projections.
Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and generally accepted auditing standards.
Extensive working knowledge of appropriate accounting, auditing, tax, and financial ADP systems and applications.
Working knowledge of appropriate accounting and financial software.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
Ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously.
Expert knowledge of litigation support and financial management; outstanding writing skills; excellent oral communication skills; and excellent management skills.
Must possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills with particular emphasis on data mining, pivot tables, v-lookups, and macros or complex logic driven formulas.
Ability to analyze financial data and automate reporting.
Ability to create/present visualizations from financial data that identify patterns, trends, and abnormal balances/anomalies,
Proven ability to use financial data in a cohesive manner to present to management.
Expert user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, imaging, and hardware systems.
Must be able to obtain DOJ MBI
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Ability to anticipate litigation financial support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing those needs.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, COGNOS, or other BI tools.
Experience performing project accounting/program control in a government contracting environment.
Well versed in concepts of IDIQ, Task Orders, T&M type contracts, labor categories, ODCs and how cost inputs relate to billable activity.
Strong knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
Demonstrated ability to work with multi-level WBSs to drive or research costs by areas such as project, point-in-time, funding source, task order or vehicle.
Demonstrated knowledge working with other accounting elements, such as account codes, contract CLINs, accounting periods, organization numbers or names, various vendor codes, etc.
Ability to research financial data with these criteria and translate results for layperson.
Knowledge of government funding process, including fiscal year impact, concept of reimbursable vs direct funds, understanding of how government funds project.
