What You’ll Get to Do
CACI is seeking a Functional Consultant that is responsible for defining and developing business plans, processes, policies, roles and responsibilities, communication, and performance metrics. Duties may include developing strategic plans and transition plans, conducting research and analyses of business practices, performing cost/benefit analyses, implementing process improvements, designing, and implementing communication strategies and plans, and facilitating organizational change to improve organizational performance and service levels.

Training and experience in Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Shingo, or Theory of Constraints.
Work with our customer to understand and define Shipyard needs. Develop, recommend, and implement solutions. Support/interface with the customer via the phone, email, chat, and applicable online presence.
Assist in the definition, preparation, and collection of customer metrics and system availability reports, including data collection, preservation, processing, analysis, and storage.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts as needed to meet customer needs and facilitate support processes.
Train and support technology users and provide advice and recommendations on business/systems process best practices.
Experience using cloud-based knowledge management systems (SharePoint, Jira, etc.).
Work independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
Support/interface with the customer via the telephone, video conferencing, email, chat, and applicable online presence.
Work on the customer site at least 24 hours/week to ensure customer needs are being met. Work site fluctuates between customer site (office, shipyard, aboard ships), CACI office environment, and home site.
Physical Demands: Normal demands associated with a Shipyard office environment, including ability to work on a computer for long periods. Work may sometimes be in an active industrial environment that may require walking long distances carrying backpack filled with work materials (and transporting materials, supplies as needed), climbing ladders, and accessing confined spaces. Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret security clearance.
Associate Degree or above in a related field of study.
Minimum 2 years of functional consulting experience.
Broad understanding of Naval Shipyard business and operational processes and general knowledge of Shipyard planning and execution systems.
Ability to use data to tell a story and accurately highlight progress toward established goals.
Willingness and ability to experiment and invent new approaches to provide the highest caliber service to our customer.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with customers at all levels of the organization in a professional, effective manner.
Strong customer service orientation. Respectfully engage customers in a manner that achieves successful outcomes.
Ability to organize work efficiently and manage time effectively.
Ability to perform successfully independently and as a team member in a demanding work environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint)
These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have
Previous military experience
Knowledge or work experience at a Naval Shipyard or industrial environment
Knowledge or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, Shingo, Theory of Constraints, or Change Management
Knowledge or experience with Project Management and credentials
