What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is seeking a Graphic Design Production Specialist to work on a U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) program located at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C. In this position, you will assist the NAVSEA Command Visual Information (CVI) Division Head with graphic design and print production requirements. You will join a team that produces a wide variety of graphics products for NAVSEA customers as requested and directed.

More About the Role:

  • Understand and identify the principles and elements of design.

  • Understand 4 Color Process printing (CMYK & Pantone).

  • Print posters and large-scale signage using plotters.

  • Print flyers, booklets, and pamphlets using production copiers/printers.

  • Perform all necessary production work, including cutting, mounting, framing, binding, gluing and engraving. Mount designs in accordance with designer and customer specifications.

  • Quickly learn and use cutting devices, including exacto knives, stacker cutters, mat cutters and box cutters.

  • Quickly learn and be able to use mechanical equipment, including laminators, Plockmatic publication machines (GBC and perfect binding), and engravers (both laser/rotary).

  • Adhere to CVI design and production policies and procedures, and complete weekly/monthly/quarterly reports, as needed.

  • Greet walk-in customers and provide courteous, on-demand customer service.

  • Mail/forward products via the NAVSEA mailroom and deliver products in person when necessary.

  • Participate in team collaboration and provide regular updates about the status of projects.

  • This position is located at the Washington Navy Yard in downtown Washington, D.C. It is full time and on-site unless otherwise approved by the customer. Parking is not provided nor is transportation reimbursed.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active DoD Secret security clearance.

  • Photography experience (studio, marketing or social media).

  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel.

  • Attention to detail and quality control.

  • Ability to communicate thoroughly and regularly with customers, supervisors, and peers.

  • Work under short deadlines imposed by customers and senior-level management.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Experience in a military work environment.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts with a strong emphasis in graphic design or related discipline. Relevant experience may substitute with customer approval.
