CACI International Law Clerk – Major Frauds Unit – Criminal Division in Washington, District Of Columbia
Support the prosecution of fraud, with five principal areas of concentration—(1) Securities Fraud, (2) Commodities Fraud, (3) Government Procurement Fraud and Bribery, (4) Financial Institution Fraud, and (5) Consumer, Regulatory, and Investment Fraud.
The position provides the opportunity to work closely with and provide support to Fraud Section Attorneys within the Major Frauds Unit.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor.
Performs complex legal research for the trial staff.
Assists in preparing draft legal documents, such as motions, briefs, memoranda of law, etc. reviewing documents for relevance and privilege; and assisting attorneys with all phases of litigation.
Assist with case organization and maintenance; plays integral role in preparing team for witness interviews, discovery, and trials.
Provide in-courtroom assistance, exhibit collection and review, and legal research as needed based on trial demands.
Utilize eDiscovery platforms to perform document review, communicating detailed summaries and analyses of findings.
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with DOJ components, Federal agencies, counsel and others as needed.
Research and compile data from a variety of reference sources, preparing substantive indices upon request; summarize articles, reports, witness statements.
Work on multiple cases simultaneously and multi-task with minimal supervision.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.
Sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources
Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software
Must have familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging
Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources preferred
Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important
Flexibility to work overtime on short notice
DOJ MBI must be obtainable (US Citizenship required)

eDiscovery experience and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks similar to the duties and responsibilities described
Proficiency with Relativity eDiscovery software
