CACI is seeking a Long Lead Time Materials Lead with background and experience in supply material management. You will provide material supply and logistical support to a major US Navy ship acquisition program. This position is located in Washington D.C.

What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Track, ship, and monitor Long Lead Time Materials from manufacturers and warehouses to the planning yard and the shipyards.

  • Coordinate the procurement of high dollar, long-lead-time, critical equipment for the LCS Program with other departments within the program office, fleet team members, and other defense logistics groups.

  • Track the status, availability, and condition of the Long Lead Time Materials throughout the procurement process, inventory availability status, and maintenance cycle.

  • Conduct physical inventories of Long Lead Time Materials in warehouses throughout the United States (minimal travel through the continental United States). Manage the location, status, and material condition of these assets to ensure Ready-for-Issue status.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders about asset status, issuance requests, cannibalization requests, restoration requests, and maintenance availability requests of the assets.

  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure packaging, shipping, handling, stowage, and transportation is to the Department of Defense and Department of the Navy standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 3-5 years of DoD, Navy logistics experience supporting.

  • Familiarity with government logistics requirements.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

  • US Citizen with secret clearance or the ability to attain one.

Desired Skills

  • Prior USN or USCG military experience

  • Active DOD Secret Security Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3-5 years of experience supporting NAVSEA or US Navy shipbuilding & acquisition programs.
