CACI’s Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector, is seeking an experienced Network Specialist to support a large Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract. If you are a motivated individual looking to be a part of critical mission, CACI would like to speak with you.
What You'll Get To Do:
The Network Operations Center for the DHS St. Elizabeths Campus is a 24x7 environment with the responsibility of monitoring and managing the Campus IT infrastructure to ensure campus infrastructure is operating normally and providing the required service availability and performance.
The organization is a very fast-paced, changing environment. Superior customer service skills are required. This position requires ability to work independently as well as within groups. Sensitivity to accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism in all areas of support activity is imperative.
More About the Role:
Perform Tier 2 network monitoring using enterprise network consoles and tool sets such as TrueSight; monitor bandwidth utilization and provide traffic analysis
Perform Tier 2 network event triage and remediation according to written playbook procedures
Escalate complex network issues to Tier 3
Maintain network maps and documentation
Manage a Remedy ticket queue
Perform scanning and network discovery
Provides information system solutions and technical support in one or more areas including personal computer/client server support, network infrastructure architecture, bandwidth utilization and planning, telecommunications and network support and administration in a 24x7x365 environment
Ability and flexibility to work on a varied shift rotation is expected
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
US Citizenship required
Current DHS HQ Entry on Duty (EOD) holders given preference. EOD is required to start
Active DoD SECRET clearance required
Bachelors Degree and 4-6 years' IT experience with minimum of 3 years in a Network or Security Operations role maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, or monitoring IDS
CCNA or CCNP required
ITIL Foundations required
Ability to read and maintain network maps; ability to trace fiber runs and detect issues
Experience working in a large government or corporate enterprise environment
Experience working in a process-oriented workflow environment
Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple deadlines
Mature verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to maintain customer focus during difficult circumstances
Experience as a member in a team environment
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Ability to communicate clearly with technical staff as well as less technical colleagues
Understanding of federal contracting environment, a plus
Hands on experience utilizing Panorama
Hands on experience monitoring and responding to alarmed fiber events
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
