CACI International PARALEGAL - Washington, DC in Washington, District Of Columbia
Duties of this position include: performing legal and factual database research; supporting briefs and motions including cite checking, table of contents, and appendices; supporting hearings and depositions including preparing witness folders and binders; performing internet research; conduct document review; preparing correspondence; providing trial preparations and in court assistance as needed; strong MS Office and Adobe Acrobat skills; and assists on project related tasks as needed.
Requires paralegal certificate. An equivalent level of legal training may be substituted with the approval of the COR. At least one year of litigation paralegal experience required. Automated litigation support experience valued. Must have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum and must have sufficient experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw to perform basic legal research. excellent written and oral communication skills, thorough knowledge and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including Concordance, CaseMap, Symantec, word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems. Role also requires basic familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.
Experience working directly with attorneys; experience in Healthcare or financial fields; self-motivated and highly professional; experience with file sharing tools such as FTP sites, Dropbox, etc.; experience with encryption software; foreign language skills.
