What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Write clear, effective briefs, pleadings, petitions and correspondence

  • Edit and proofread copy; perform cite checks

  • Organize and simplify large amounts of information

  • Investigate and summarize facts

  • Conduct legal research online or in a traditional law library

  • Conduct records searches

  • Trial Preparation and Case Management - Format legal documents using word processing software, desktop publishing and image processing (name specific software packages)

  • Set up and maintain calendar and docketing

  • Utilize PowerPoint to create presentations; prepare charts, graphs and exhibits

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.

  • At least one year of litigation paralegal experience required; trial experience very helpful.

  • Automated litigation support experience valued.

  • Must have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum and must have sufficient experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw to perform basic legal research.

  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, thorough knowledge and hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.

  • Role also requires basic familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.

  • Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important.
