CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) System Engineer IV (SE IV) supporting the Depart of Defense Chief Information Office Mission Support Service (CMSS) Contract at the Department of Defense located at the Pentagon, Washington DC.

What You’ll Get to Do:

The PNT SE IV will support DoD CIO GPS/PNT Core Support Services enterprise goals, increase mission effectiveness, and deliver efficiencies. Apply system engineering principles to the solution of secure information systems design problems within the requirements of the CIO GPS/PNT Task Order and apply the principles of science and mathematics to develop economical solutions to technical problems.

More About the Role:

  • Plan and perform engineering research, design, development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering, and customer specifications.

  • Advises on system design, development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts. Evaluates overall design effectiveness, cost, reliability, security, and safety.

  • Defines and interprets high level organizational engineering performance requirements and objectives and develops approaches to their achievement.

  • Provide a wide range of support to the day-to-day management and assist in research and program oversight of the GPS Block II and Block III space, control (operational and modernized), and user segments, and of other DoD PNT systems.

  • Assist in overseeing and coordinating the DoD’s GPS, Navwar and PNT management and acquisition activities.

  • Support DoD CIO participation in USD(AT&L)-chartered. IPAs, OSD DAES reviews established to provide oversight and review of the DoD’s GPS acquisition.

  • Provide support to research and system engineering oversight and coordination for the various DoD GPS, PNT and Navwar development activities.

  • GPS and PNT Technology Export Oversight:

  • Assist DoD CIO in developing operational implementation policy, requirements, and guidelines for GPS and related PNT systems within the DoD PNT Enterprise.

  • Assesses policy and technical implications of PNT Enterprise contributions to rapidly evolving autonomous vehicle technologies.

  • Assist the DoD CIO in conducting special assessments and analyses of promising, emerging GPS, PNT and Navwar technologies for potential impacts to existing and future DoD PNT Enterprise systems.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance

  • Master’s degree or equivalent and 12 years of related experience working with GPS/PNT and National Leadership Command Capability.

  • Meet the IAT Level II security certification requirements required by DoD 8140.01-M, such as CompTIA Security + or CASP, etc.

  • One of the following certifications: MCSE Core Infrastructure; VCP-DCV 2020; VCP-DTM 2020; VMware Certified VSAN Specialist 2020, NetApp Certified Data Administrator ONTAP (NCDA); ISC2 CCSP; AWS Business Professional; AWS Technical Professional

  • Have domain and expert technical knowledge and extensive experience in the development of solutions, recommendations, or outcomes.

  • Strong writing skills in order to provide finished briefing products, fully developed correspondence packages and policy document reviews and recommendations.

  • Familiarity with the National Capital Region (NCR) and knowledge of DOD (services, components, COCOMs, etc.) and the various players who are stakeholders in the Senior leader communications mission domains and with U.S. PNT stakeholders.

  • Strong working knowledge of Pentagon processes and offices.

  • Strong technical expertise and skills using MS Office products (word, excel, teams etc.)

  • Demonstrate the ability to work productively with diverse organizations across the DoD, civil government agencies, other branches of government, and international representatives and agencies.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$119,800 - $263,600
