What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Work supporting the Navy’s Littoral Combat Ship Program. LCS is a fast, agile, mission-focused- platform designed for operation in near-shore environments yet capable of open-ocean operation. It is designed to defeat asymmetric "anti-access" threats such as mines, quiet diesel submarines and fast surface craft.

  • Assist with various program functions, including but not limited to:

  • Develop defendable modernization budget requirements in support of Program Object Memorandum (POM) and budget requests

  • Create visualizations to communicate Program Office’s modernization plan to external stakeholders and warfare centers

  • Develop briefs and responses to Congressional or OPNAV data calls

  • Analyze cost data to identify trends and feed changes back into cost estimates and cost phasing projection model

  • Coordinate with Configuration Management team, Engineering team, and Development team for updates to modernization plan, products, and tools

  • Coordinate with BFM to plan allocations within controls, develop budget briefs, and refine budget exhibits

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5-10 Years of experience with the U.S. Navy or DoD Acquisition Programs.

  • Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Powerpoint.

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.

  • Preferred:

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with cost estimating and POM cycle

  • Visual Basic for Applications
