What You’ll Get to Do

The conduit between the President and the public during national crises is the National Public Warning System (NPWS), the most resilient and capable in a portfolio of systems providing emergency warning and alert notifications to the public. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is entrusted with this system and the dissemination of Emergency Action Notifications (EANs), via Primary Entry Points (PEPs), by broadcast, cable, satellite, wireline, radio, and television channels. CACI is seeking a proactive Quality Analyst to join our effort to modernize PEP’s which are key components in ensuring the success of this critical mission.

Primary Purpose:

Under the supervision of the NPWS Modernization Task Lead and NPWS Operations Manager, perform quality control and quality assurance activities to measure and evaluate project progress, correct deviations from the requirements for programmatic and technical performance, develop project quality control / assurance activities and report metrics that validate the requirements of the contract. The Quality Analyst will perform job tasks to ensure that:

  • Products are built to meet agreed-upon standards and requirements

  • Modernization and integration processes and procedures are performed efficiently and as documented

  • Project Management Plans are performed efficiently and as documented

  • Non-conformances found are identified and appropriate corrective action is taken

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of the production cycle for NPWS all-hazard modules and other shelters use by FEMA

  • Familiar with all aspects of on-site integration work to include RF, power, SATCOM, fuel systems and signal integration with systems existing systems.

  • Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience in lab and field

  • Knowledge of Industry quality Management Standards and frameworks such as: ISO 9000-9001, AS9100, TQM, CMMI, Six Sigma

  • Experience with implementation of corrective action programs

  • Experience with QA’s role in the System Engineering Processes

  • Experience with Configuration and Change Management methodologies and processes

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly process

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases

  • Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QC/QA

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform Quality Control / Assurance Reviews and Audits using processes defined in the program Quality Control Plan.

  • Log Review/ audit results

  • Perform analysis and root cause analysis to ensure compliance to the established program standards

  • Report deficiencies of the standards to the appropriate program and customer stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement Corrective action management procedures and processes

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Experience with the installation of NPWS all-hazard modules and other shelters use by FEMA

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Quality or equivalent.

  • Extensive experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes, including management of a Quality Management Systems (QMS).

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Diligent and meticulous

  • High regard for safety standards and quality control
