What You’ll Get to Do:
Provide technical leadership in the administering and monitoring of Relativity’s SQL databases and ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. Specific tasks include performing backups and restores of databases and tables, creation of new databases and tables, modifying database schema, performance tuning, reorganization or rebuild indexing, execute SQL Server agent jobs, perform database integrity checks, bug fixes, third-party API updates, security and patch updates, and monitoring.
More About the Role:
Manage an existing government instance of Relativity, specifically the SQL Server infrastructure, database maintenance, upgrades, patches, and day-to-day troubleshooting.
Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning when necessary.
Monitor the environment and proactively look for ways to improve uptime, alerting, and efficiencies of systems.
Provide high-level escalation support to colleagues across the organization for application and complex process implementation.
Utilize monitoring and performance analysis to troubleshoot and isolate problems/issues/incidents.
Coordinate across multiple departments on patching and upgrades to ensure client success.
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
Perform ad-hoc queries, store procedures, and T-SQL for solutions to complex problems or reporting needs.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must have an active Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) certification.
Extensive SQL Server database administration and .NET application experience.
Proven experience in standard database administration responsibilities (replication, backups/restores, jobs and scheduling, security administration, partitioning, index maintenance, software maintenance).
Excellent SQL architecture and design skills with proven experience partnering with application development teams to design overall system architecture.
Excellent knowledge of database structures, theories, principles and practices with proven Microsoft SQL Server experience, including reporting services and analysis services.
Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Must have BA/BS or equivalent and six years applicable experience.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Other Relativity certifications, e.g. Relativity Infrastructure Specialist.
Knowledge of EDRM.
Strong knowledge of .NET web framework.
Experience with integrating other applications with Relativity, e.g. Brainspace, Blackout, NexLP, Veritone, etc.
