What You’ll Get to Do:
Performs moderately complex legal research
Prepares for trial with the attorneys
High volume of cases
Review investigative reports, testimonies, interviews, files, and documents for a variety of, criminal cases to become familiar with the issues
Reads and analyzes reports of investigating agencies
Sorts through and reads subpoenaed documents
Identifies and summarizes portions that may be relevant to particular cases.
Participates and assists in preparation for trial by compiling, organizing, and indexing various evidentiary exhibits.
Marks and identifies trial exhibits and drafts a list of exhibits to be offered at trial.
Range of paralegal tasks include, but are not limited to copying, mailing, closing files, maintaining pleadings.
The contractor works in an office setting; some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of small office items is requires.
More About the Role:
- 2 days Remote, 3 days a week in the office.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study
Must have document review experience.
Must have Relativity experience.
Familiar with antitrust regulations and rules.
Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.
Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
Hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources.
Must be eligible for a U.S. Security clearance.
