CACI International Senior Systems Engineer (PEO Aircraft Carriers) in Washington, District Of Columbia
CACI is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for our PEO Aircraft Carriers program.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Be responsible for providing engineering support on Fleet Command, Control, Communication, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) / Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Combat and Intelligence (C5I) installation by addressing the improvement in the exchange of information, the identification of issues and problems with solutions, and the identification of risks with mitigation plan to resolve the risk identified.
Provide planning C5I system configurations on future platforms, support for modernization initiatives, infusion of matured Science and Technology capabilities transition and planning.
Assist PMS 378 with overseeing the delivery and implementation of transformational technology on CVN 78.
Monitor transformational technology’s development and progress toward meeting the in-yard need dates
Ensure transformational technology progress is tracked and reported and identify risks to meeting in-yard need dates.
Assist PMS 378E PAPM in responding to program actions. Develop action item responses, point papers, white papers, and briefings as necessary
More About the Role:
The PMS 378 Senior System Engineer will provide C4I/C5I Subject Matter Expert (SME) level support to the Program Office when providing:
Administrative support of Government issued and approved evaluation criteria for any incentive or award sections of contract solicitations and/or shipbuilding statements of work for Technical Instructions (TI).
Technical support for any Technical Advisory Reviews (TARs) of proposals resulting from solicitations to the shipbuilder.
Assistance for any Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) resulting from new contracts being awarded or major modifications to existing contracts.
Assistance to the Government in the evaluation of the shipbuilder’s contract funds status report (CFSR) and cost performance report (CPR).
Assistance in the analysis of funds expended and status of remaining funds, and the program management and technical support in response to any Requests for Equitable Adjustment (REA).
This position may require candidate to visit and/or work aboard the aircraft carrier at the ship’s homeport or other ports and underway.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field.
20+ years of professional, applicable experience.
Ability to interface with team members and technical leads.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Ability to travel to and work aboard the aircraft carrier.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Master’s Degree in a Technical field
Navy active duty Aircraft Carrier experience
NAVSEA and/or PEO Aircraft Carriers experience
