What You’ll Get to Do:

Contribute to mission of expanding the U.S. Navy’s maritime advantage over our adversaries. The Naval Sea Systems Command and affiliated Program Executive Offices (PEOs) engineer, build, buy and maintain ships, submarines and combat systems that meet the Fleet's current and future operational requirements.

More About the Role:

  • Facilitate user requirements workshop in which clients feel comfortable sharing their challenges, opportunities, and questions about their business processes.

  • Translate business processes into detailed technical and functional requirements documents.

  • Deliver incremental progress (Agile) on requirements and have technical demonstrations with the client to proactively solicit feedback before solutions are put into production.

  • Become a trusted advisor by client and internal staff for how to automate workflows, facilitate collaboration, measure ROI, and ensure continual improvement.

  • Analyze Service Level Agreements and be able to identify opportunities for cost savings, alternative vendors, or services to enhance operations while streamlining costs.

  • Create a ‘one-stop shop’ where users can get information, they need to analyze their program operations, their business processes, their tasks/activities, calendar, personnel, etc. in user centric SharePoint dashboard.

  • Create dynamic dashboards in SharePoint, Excel, and Access which allow users to be able to see overall synopsis of information and allows them to be able to drill down into details as needed.

  • Develop tables, queries, reports, and forms in Microsoft Access that automate manual processes

  • Create training materials and proactively engage users in one-on-one setting or group setting to re-enforce materials presented in training.

  • Consult with internal leadership and stakeholders to determine needs and develop SharePoint solution, with a focus on knowledge management.

  • Upload, organize, and maintain SharePoint program and project documentation, calendars, meeting information, and other workspaces.

  • Troubleshoot SharePoint technical issues and provide either a solution or escalation to vendors as needed.

  • Leverage knowledge of tools (3rd party tools included) that can be leveraged in SharePoint, Access, Power BI, Nintex, and Excel to enhance user experience.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or relevant education

  • Experience with delivery solutions ‘out of the box’ in SharePoint, Access, and Excel vs. relying upon code centric solutions

  • Experience creating automated import and update routines for word, text, or Excel files to automated databases

  • Technical and functional expertise with SharePoint administration tools, Nintex Workflows, Power BI, Access, and Excel

  • Ability to find workarounds in SharePoint to satisfy customer needs
