Sr. Cisco VoIP Engineer

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of video conferencing equipment / VoIP handsets and components, cables, connectors and peripherals

  • Configuration of VoIP handsets in Cisco Unified Call Manager

  • Provide in-person/desk-side support for new VTC/VoIP endpoint installations

  • Configuration of VTC endpoints in Cisco Telepresence Management Suite (TMS) and Video Communication Server (VCS)

  • Assist in all service / system upgrades while being a team player involving telecommunications and networking projects

  • Provide hands-on assistance involving troubleshooting and diagnostic support for all related systems, equipment failures or service issues

  • Schedule VTC appointments using Cisco Telepresence Management Suite (TMS)

  • Connect personal computers and peripherals to co-exist with VTC equipment on existing networks

  • Maintain network diagrams and connectivity records

  • Maintain trouble logs

  • Perform vulnerability remediation as directed to maintain secure networks

  • Coordinate and troubleshoot any issues requiring escalation to OEM

  • Providing end user training and develop and maintain training material

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required

  • Current DHS HQ Entry on Duty (EOD) holders given preference. EOD is required to start

  • Active DoD SECRET clearance required

  • Bachelors Degree and 10 years' experience working with Cisco VoIP preferred

  • Experience configuring VTC endpoints

  • Experience configuring Cisco VoIP handsets

  • Experience working in a large government or corporate enterprise environment

  • Experience working in a process-oriented workflow environment

  • Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple deadlines

  • Mature verbal and written communication skills required

  • Ability to maintain customer focus during difficult circumstances

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:

  • DoD 8570 certifications preferred

  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP preferred
