The Enterprise Communications Services 3 (ECS3) program supports our intel customer across it’s many operating locations. Our focus includes the design, transition, operations, and continual service improvement to include tech modernization, tech refresh, activities associated with customer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WAN) and unified communication (UC) services.
We're hiring a VoIP/DVTC Engineer: Our mission on this program will be the design, transition, operations, and continual service improvement to include tech modernization, tech refresh, or Capital Equipment Replacement Program (CERP) activities associated with the clients’ LANs, WAN and UC services. What will you do:
Generally recognized as a leader in local- and wide-area networking, VoIP and DVTC.
Background in Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, and Communications and Network Systems Management
Holds advanced or multiple certifications on voice/video/data network platforms
Sought out by others for advice and guidance
Provide support, analysis, research, and advice into exceptionally complex voice/video/data problems and related processes
May lead subsets of team members on solving specific problems/challenges during normal team work efforts
Perform specialized and technical tasks associated with the most current and cutting-edge technologies
Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex
Evaluates requirements and develops solutions that address collective requirements sets
Diagrams network topologies, interconnections, firewalls and security gateways
Creates rack elevations, power requirements for component deployment and use
Collaborates with LAN/WAN teams on bandwidth requirements, utilization, performance needs
Works with technical writers to create comprehensive design and configuration documentation, installation procedures, operating instructions
Works with testers to evaluate test criteria and expected outcomes, create and automate test cases, test data, test scripts, and exercise unit tests on lab hardware and software
Works with technical writers to evaluate OEM training materials and develop customer- or site-specific supplements to commercials materials
DOD 8570 IAT II, CUCM Manager Course
Works independently with limited supervision
May manage projects/processes
Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals
Influences others regarding system design, solutions, and procedures
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree + 5 years of experience
You meet IAT II Certification requirements (Security +, for example)
Clearance Requirement:
- TS/SCI with CI Poly
