CACI International Application Analyst (Modeling and Simulation) in Wright Patterson Afb, Ohio
CACI is seeking a full-time Application Analyst for modeling and simulation work in the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. You will be analyzing results of modeling and simulation runs, and developing code in a Linux/Windows environment to improve and expand the current capabilities of modeling and simulation tools. Previous experience with these models is not required. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment with CACI subject matter experts to expand model capabilities to meet new AF modeling and simulation requirements. What You’ll Get to Do:
work with the customer and CACI teammates to establish objectives, priorities, and schedules
develop software to collect and analyze results of tests to validate proper execution of new software modules and overall program
recommend process and software design to incorporate new capability objectives
prepare reports on new software and test results for the sponsors
develop new or enhance existing software in C++, C, or Java for tools, interfaces, algorithms, and data analysis/display functions
coordinate with teammates, customer, and other contractors to obtain information required to accomplish tasks
design and run tests of new program capabilities
properly document work performed, and lessons learned
early identification of issues impacting ability to meet objectives or schedule
learn and follow proper procedures to protect classified information
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Detail oriented person is required to support post simulation run discrepancy evaluations in order to validate run results for the test sponsor
C++, C, FORTRAN, Java programming experience
Individual that demonstrates an ability to solve problems with programmatic and scientific methods
Team player who can accomplish goals with minimal supervision
Bachelor's degree (i.e. Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, etc.) with at least 3-10 years of relevant experience or equilavent real-world experience that demonstrates these skills
Willingness to learn new tools, skills, and new ways of thinking about a problem
Clearable to Top Secret/SCI level
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience with communications modeling and satellite communications
Experience with OPNET modeling
Current Secret clearance or higher
Modeling and Simulation experience such as knowledge on how to run Suppressor, AFSIM, EADSIM, or similar military models
Technical writing and documentation experience
