CACI is seeking a full-time modeling and simulation engineer to work in the Air Force Research Laboratory at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. You will be developing, testing and running Mission Level models in both Linux/Windows environments. Previous experience with modeling and simulation is highly desirable. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment with CACI subject matter experts to test weapons systems concepts and strategies and expand model capabilities to meet new AF modeling and simulation requirements. What You’ll Get to Do:
Develop solutions to new modeling requirements
Design and run functional tests of new model capabilities
Analyze results of tests to validate proper execution of new software modules and overall program
Collect and load threat system information from classified databases in preparation for experiment runs
Support post simulation run discrepancy evaluations in order to validate run results for the test sponsor
Document issues identified with models and support software fixes
Work with the customer and CACI teammates to establish objectives, priorities, and schedules
Prepare reports on new software and test results for the sponsors
Execution of regression testing and automation
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Significant real-world experience that demonstrates skills developing modeling solutions to problems, with college degree in Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science/Engineering
Significant experience testing, and running simulation models
Programming skills in languages such as C++, Python, Java, FORTRAN for tools, interfaces, algorithms, and data analysis/display functions
Experience planning and executing functional tests
Experience using both Windows and Linux operating systems
Knowledge of software testing techniques and best practices
At least a SECRET clearance, and clearable to Top Secret/SCI level
Knowledge and use of threat systems data sources and databases such as Electronic
Warfare Integrated Reprogramming (EWIR) Database
Team player who can accomplish goals with minimal supervision
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Experience using Suppressor, AFSIM, EADSIM, or similar military models
Understanding of threat military doctrines
Experience using GitLab
Experience with communications modeling and satellite communications
